The tablet is placed inside the mouth between the cheek and gum (buccal) OR on the floor of your mouth, under your tongue (sublingual).Fentora is not for treating pain that is not cancer-related.
All tablet strengths are expressed as the amount of fentanyl free base, e.g., the 400 microgram strength tablet contains 400 micrograms of fentanyl free base.
How should I use Fentora?
Use Fentora (Fentanyl Buccal Tablet) exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Fentanyl can slow or stop your breathing. Never use this medicine in larger amounts, or for longer than prescribed. Tell your doctor if the medicine seems to stop working as well in relieving your pain.
Fentanyl may be habit-forming, even at regular doses. Never share this medicine with another person, especially someone with a history of drug abuse or addiction.
What happens if I miss my Fentanyl Buccal Tablet dose?
Since Fentora is used for pain, you are not likely to miss a dose. Skip any missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.

Seek emergency medical attention. A fentanyl overdose can be fatal, especially in a child or other person using the medicine without a prescription. Overdose symptoms may include extreme weakness or drowsiness, weak pulse, cold and clammy skin, pinpoint pupils, and slow breathing (breathing may stop).

Fentanyl Buccal Tablet are flat-faced, round, beveled-edge in shape; are white in color; and are available here in 400 mcg and 800 mcg strengths as fentanyl base. Each tablet strength is marked with a unique identifier. They are supplied here as follows:
